Bedrock can randomly be a problem for some people, where for some random reason the performance is terrible. But I agree with you with a bunch of ifs: If it runs well on your PC If you're content to play vanilla minecraft or free addons are enough variation If you're playing pretty casual and aren't trying to build a bunch of Java redstone or high-performance farms If you're OK with no shaders ...
Bedrock V.S Java: Final Verdict (Unbiased) I've seen SO MANY POSTS just about this mini-war, so here is my final take on it all, coming from multiple different sources describing different ideas. Point number 1: Performance To understand the difference, we need to go back to when Minecraft: Java was originally coded in 2010 by a college graduate.
The arguments are typically Java players hating on bedrock because honestly, it’s caused a lot of annoyances. Because now Minecraft needs to work on mobile devices, things like the bundle can’t be added because it’s to hard to allow mobile players to use it.
Bedrock has the advantage of being cross platform and easier to set up play between friends. Java edition allows for more customization, mods, etc. it is harder to play with friends though as you either need to be on Lan, make your own server, get a hosted one (like realms).
Java Edition is the original Minecraft version. Bedrock came after, and uses a completely different coding language to Java, making it more compatible with other systems. There are quite a number of parity issues with Bedrock, and it's filled with random bugs that can disrupt the playing experience without explanation.
In which he tries to hide a Guardian fish at level 5 bedrock in a undisclosed location, and i am trying to crack the coordinates under curiosity. Any ideas?
Java and Bedrock (console friendly) Simple Voice Chat Vanilla-style play, with just a few extra things for fun like mob head drops and the /sit command (but nothing "game-breaking") No stealing, cheating, hacking, etc No claims (Trust based, but Coreprotect plugin to keep us all honest)
Java is definitely better than bedrock. There used to be an active free modding community around MineCraft, guys like Risugami produced lots of useful and interesting mods for the game. But of course with Microsoft forcing everything behind a paywall, it killed the community.
Unfortunately “Minecraft for Windows” counts Bedrock as one game and is coded differently to accommodate console users. Minecraft Java edition is separate and hasn’t ever come with Bedrock (to my knowledge) but in my opinion Java is completely worth it
