A brush fire burning in a river bottom in the West Valley remained uncontained Sunday as the acreage continued to grow.
The Hazen Fire near Buckeye, Arizona, was almost 300 acres and 0% contained, with activity expected to increase, as of May 3.
The region has been broiling under higher temperatures and drier days.
