The word "ARIRANG" was illuminated in red over the skies of New York, the United States. According to the music industry on the 19th, a drone show commemorating the release of group BTS’s fifth full album *Arirang* was held over the Brooklyn Bridge in New York the previous afternoon.

BTS, or Bangtan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boy Scouts), debuted in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment, and they have taken the world by storm ever since.

Since BTS announced the title of ARIRANG in January, the band members have been upfront about their desire to pay tribute to their heritage with the album. As explained in a press release at the time, “Arirang” is a traditional Korean folk song that “has long been associated with emotions of connection, distance and reunion.”
