One of the cons of the Tapco brake is that it needs to be adjusted frequently. Though I find it overall to be a bit more efficient than the Vanmark if set up well, the Vanmark rarely needs adjusting. I went 17 years without adjusting my Vanmark brake and it bent straight as an arrow through that time. Some have suggested using locktite on the adjustment screws, but I’d rather not as I can’t see anywhere that you should use it. I keep the 4” x 12” pieces of aluminum right above the brake and quic
